History of Candleholders (or candelabras):
Originally made of clay have been found dating back to 400 BC. Candelabras came to the wedding scene when Koch Originals introduced them in the early 1900's.
Candelabra is the term that refers to a pair or more of decorative candlesticks or candleholders shaped as a column or pedestal and having several arms for holding candles. A single version of candelabra would be called a candelabrum. While generally not needed today due to electrical lighting, candelabras and candlesticks are often used in modern homes as accessories or as part of the interior design. They are also found in many events and ritual activities as both a backdrop and setting piece.
